All models are sewn with quality American and High german style, 100% wool felts on a unique cadre. Alan Abel, Performer, instructor, instrument manufacturer, writer, mentor—Alan Abel is all of these things. Abel has performed under some of the greatest conductors of our time including Eugene Ormandy, Riccardo Muti, and Wolfgang Sawallisch—all Music Directors of the Philadelphia Orchestra. He has performed almost of the major works of symphonic repertoire and participated in numerous earth premieres.

TMC3 Michael Crusoe, Creative person Signature Series Classic Period Sostenuto timpani model features a 1"maple core, covered with multiple layers of wool felts. The black, steam-pressed outer layer of felt is tighly sewn with a seam. This softer general mallet features a round, sustaining tone with a warm depth. MBGG1 & MRGG1, The Goodenberger "G-Line Mix" is a heavy weight gear up of six mallets to mix and lucifer. Allowing the player to mix four different hardnesses, this set is similar owning multiple sets of four – in One!Included are one (one)oversized deep bass mallet, ii (2)medium tenor mallets, ii (2) medium hard alto mallets, and one(1) clear hard soprano mallet.
Providing a mellow and nighttime tone throughout, the Goodenberger series allows the performer to movement from a soft/medium set to a med/difficult mix of four while still maintaining its character and tone. With six realistic combinations, the "Chiliad-Line Mix" enables the marimbist a vast tonal depth and joint, making finding soulmates for repertoire every bit easy as mix and match.
Reflecting the mixture of articulations, the One thousand-Line is wrapped with three unlike colors of wool and nylon blend yarn. They represent the natural landscape of the earth, sky and clouds that surround Ellensburg, WA in the neat Pacific Northwest.

Mark Goodenberger, percussionist and composer, is the Director of Percussion Studies at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA. Equally a specialist in Symphonic and Chamber music, he has worked with composers such as Steve Reich, Libby Larsen, Chen Yi, George Crumb, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Elliott Carter, Lou Harrison, Zhou Long, Tomas Svoboda, Forrest Pierce, Mark Polishook, and Chinary Ung, premiering many new works. He is also active every bit a baroque specialist, performing the kettledrums with the Portland Baroque Orchestra, Seattle Baroque, and Trinity Consort. As a concert recitalist, he performs many pieces of his ain, written for a wide variety of instruments. His compositions range from solos to works for mixed ensembles, to pieces that join elements of theater, dance and vaudeville into the diverse world of percussion. He holds a Bachelor of Music Instruction degree from Lewis and Clark College and a Masters of Music in Functioning degree from the University of Michigan.

BD6 - Keith Aleo "Mahler 3" Double Sided Bass Drum Pair
A double sided mallet well-suited for quick changes when the music calls for articulation followed by rolls. Originally designed for Mahler's 3rd Symphony, this versatile pair is made with one side of soft German felt and the other with 100% wool billiard felt. With a medium heavy weight, these mallets bring out a moderately dark tone and depth from the drum while yet feeling balanced in the hands. iii/4" bamboo handles are cut to 16 inches in length and are made from a heavy weight tonkin variety. With the joints remaining, the bamboo is lightly sanded and given a 'bath' in laquer to preserve it's natural moisture content.
BD10 - Keith Aleo "Berlioz" Double Sided Bass Drum Pair

Oct 2019This chamois and American felt double sided pair for bass drum is designed with Symphonie Fantastique in mind. Half of the head is sewn with an articulate and durable chamois leather and the other half with medium clear American felt.
The handle is a medium heavy, seventy +grams bamboo with a 3/four inch diameter and 15 inch length. This fast moving, staccato mallet is ideally suited for drums ranging in size from 28"- 36". A shorter, heavy handle allows the mallet to move easily for fast passages while withal allowing for a nighttime, satisfying bass drum tone. These mallets are uniquely designed for rapid passages, but are also suitable for general playing using the softer, felted side.
